September 1930, the route began as 103, running between Raynes Park and Wimbledon station using K-Type single deckers from Merton (AL) garage with a PVR of 1.

December 1930, The route converted to an operation of S-Type single deckers, with the PVR being doubled to 2.

Summer 1931, The route converted to an operation of LTL Scooters.

October 1934, The route was renumbered to 200 due to 200-series numbers being forced upon single deck routes because of London Transport developing a new numbering system with 103 being the first to convert to 200.

April 1936, The route converted to an operation of Q-Type single deckers.

May 1936, The route was extended to serve Copse Hill, with the PVR being doubled to 4.

Winter 1943, The route introduced T-Type single deckers along the already existing Q-Type single deckers, with the PVR being increased to 6.
